Great Value-Wonderful Experience
We stayed 2 nights and the place was pleasantly nice. Nice rooms, the bedding was very nice, bar area quite inviting, a very friendly staff and located in a area that gives you access to all the places NE Florida has to offer. No doubt, we will return. Class to so fine dining and casual restaurants too..

Very clean, well appointed rooms,
Pleasant surprise. Room was very nice. Property very quaint. Staff was friendly and courteous. Great location. Loved the hot tube. Food was pretty good in restaurant, a bit pricey but otherwise acceptable

I must be getting old
I'll try my best to be fair. I've stayed in this area several times before (Hampton Inn). This time the rates for hotel Indigo were slightly cheaper and even though they don't offer a free breakfast "another broken egg cafe" (excellent breakfast choice) is very close so I went with hotel indigo. Don't get me wrong this hotel has many positives : 1. Location is great. Convenient to shopping, top restaurants and downtown Jax is a short drive. Additionally it's a very safe area. 2. Early check-in was friendly and painless. 3. Elevators are virtually silent and always fast to respond. 4. Housekeeping was good, clean rooms with a very large TV. Rooms are funky designed but functional - want to have fun? Count the circles and semi-circles of the entire room design. 5. Room cooled to my desired temperature after setting it (this was NOT my experience at the last IHG hotel I stayed at in Austin TX. 6. Water pressure was excellent and water got scolding hot in record time (ironically this is also going to be addressed in my negative comments). Now the negatives : (obviously these are not important to most reviewers but they were to me) I'm almost 60 years old and could do without the energy saving BS especially since it's so randomly applied. 1. The most bizarre item on this list is the mini-fridge with its ABSOLUTELY INSANE design of 2 hours ON and six hours OFF! I kid you not, if you want to keep something cold just set your alarm to wake up every two hours overnight! Hotel Indigo, my advise, either buy real fridges in your rooms or get rid of them! Ridiculous politically correct BS. 2. Additionally, no light switches are lit up at night so they're hard to find but worse is when you find the bathroom switch in the middle of the night and turn it on it takes 10 secs before it starts putting out any light. If you're going to push this "Green hotel" slant then don't have a bathroom faucet with water pressure that can knock you into the hallway or water temperature that reaches 200° in 3 seconds. These are conflicting values, decide who you want to be. 3. I realize this next complaint is more of a "niche" complaint but I find it weird. Jacksonville Florida is in the HEART of the SEC. We visited on a college football Saturday and found the TV selection to carry the BIG TEN network but not the SEC network?. I get that many snowbirds visit in the winter months but what about people from the southeast who support your hotel year round? It doesn't make sense - has no one brought this to your attention? Ultimately I get most of the good reviews but next time I'm going to go back to Hampton Inn. I'm getting to old for the PC BS

Friendly staff, & nice location but they could improve by paying attention to cleanliness & detail
This hotel is in a nice location. The staff was friendly and Mike with room service was very prompt! The room was very okay. My complaint was cleanliness: 1.)The toilet had a hair on the seat. 2.) the wood floor was dusty/dirty, 3.) ice bucket in the room was not clean. My guess is maybe it was cleaned at one point but left unused and collected a lot of dust over time 4.)Husband found what looked like a pubic hair on his brand new unused bath towel and a hair in the new bed sheets. So that wasn't nice to find.. 5.) the silverware (from room service) was all bent/warped and had a lot of water spots. So in my opinion, I think this hotel could improve by paying better attention to details
